The Gearagh March 2026

An installation to mark the Spring Equinox in The Gearagh in Cork, an exceptionally rare and ancient post-glacial alluvial Oak forest that was felled and flooded in the 1950’s to facilitate the construction of a hydroelectric scheme. The Equinox is a magical time when night equals day and the balance tips towards the light half of the year.
