Cape Clear Storytelling Festival

This festival takes place on the ruggedly beautiful island of Cape Clear in West Cork, celebrating one of our oldest art forms. Fadó Fadó is an old Irish expression meaning "long, long ago," and it's the traditional opening used by storytellers. Shadó Shadó is a play on this, linking the work to this oral tradition, in particular Irish plant folklore. These stories were inspired by the land, the natural world, and our relationship to it through time. This installation was created in September 2025.
